About the event
Women in Judaism are the theme of the Dresden Jewish Week this year and therefore also ours under the title “from Eva to Amy”. At the end of the 8th Gefilte Fest Dresden we are organizing a panel discussion on exactly this topic. And because we also hope that fans of the Jewish Week who are less enthusiastic about cooking will be interested, you can also buy a ticket just for this event.
Shirtat Goldberg comes from Jerusalem and is one of the main stars as a chef at the Gefilte Fest. We got to know her as a member of "Chefs for Peace", where she cooks and explains cuisine together with Christians and Muslims. She will bring us an Israeli perspective.
Nora Pester, journalist and publisher from Leipzig, owns and runs the Hentrich & Hentrich Verlag and publishes a large number of books with Jewish topics. She brings the perspective of a Jew from our region and has an almost endless network of connections in all corners of society.
Itta Werdiger has delighted us twice so far with online workshops at the Gefilte Fest and will be with us live and in person for the first time this year. She comes from the strictly Orthodox world and can therefore give us a view of women in Judaism that is often exotic to us. Her tolerant nature makes her an excellent candidate.
The whole thing is moderated expertly and personably by Danielle Kohen, who we count as one of our club members. Because she herself has a lot to say on this topic, she will lead the conversation elegantly.
The events are part of the 8th Gefilte Fest Dresden and are included in the ticket. Please only buy tickets if you only want to attend the panel discussion!
